First day of school! First day of school!
This year Charlotte gets to go first. Why? Because she left first! As High School begins, so does Seminary! Charlotte was thrilled to start seminary, and moreseo was excited to get the teacher she got.
She was up and at 'em and out of the door before the boys. I drove her there in her carefully cultivated first day outfit, scriptures in hand.
She was so nervous for her first day. Like, hard to sleep anxiety ridden paralysis. I quietly informed our extended family of her plight, and asked them to shower her with positive affirmations and good luck. During our drive to Seminary, she was peppered with love. She kept saying, "everyone is texting me! All my aunts and uncles and grandmas and grandpa too!". I was stupidly overcome in that moment. It was such a huge day for the both of us. She may have been experiencing anxiety, and I was right along there with her. My baby. In Highschool. I still can't quite get my head around it.
As she was looking through her messages and finally smiling through the worry, my eyes welled up and I was so grateful for my family (on both sides), that took the time to share their love and wish her well. It was one of the best moments.
After I dropped Charlotte off at Seminary, I ran back home to see the boys off to school.
This face!! Haha! They hate me taking their pictures every year. And every year I think, one day you are going to LOVE looking at these!
This kid. He kills me dead. Such a handsome, silly fella. And I love his pineapple wearing sunglasses shirt.
Nothing super new for the boys this year. We'd already been to their school to meet their teachers and get a glimpse into their rooms, walk the path for Oliver. Same school, same places, same bike route. Only one thing left to do....
Go get 'em boys!
